The Alfatronix universal desktop power supply for vehicle radios allows mobile transceivers to be used as desktop stations, with 115 V or 230 V AC input without manual adjustment and 12 Vdc output up to 9 A. The Alfatronix universal version AD UNI uses a mechanical hook and loop system to securely fix the radio and is suitable for models not included in the compatibility list.

Description

The universal desktop power supply for mobile radios is designed to convert 12 Vdc mobile transceivers into desktop base stations, offering a practical wedge-shaped solution for professional applications. Within the Alfatronix range, the universal AD UNI version is intended for unlisted radios or for installations where broader compatibility is required, thanks to a mechanical hook-and-loop fastening system that locks the transceiver securely onto the power supply.

The unit operates on 115 V or 230 V AC power without manual adjustment and provides a 13.6 Vdc output with 108 W of power and up to 9 A of current. It includes LED status indicators, overcurrent, overheating, and transient protection, as well as internal fuses for catastrophic protection.

The enclosure is made of anodized aluminum and glass-filled polycarbonate, with an IEC-320 C14 input connection and 6.3 mm blade terminals for output and ground. The dimensions of the AD UN UNI model are 168 mm wide, 125 mm deep, 58 mm high, with a weight of 800 g.
