PTP 550E 4.9 GHz Connector. Point-to-Point Radio
Description
The PTP 550E connectorized point-to-point radio is a Cambium Networks solution for high-speed backhaul links in medium- and long-distance applications. It operates in the 4.9 GHz to 6.2 GHz band and is based on two independent 2x2:2 radios, for a total of four 4x4 MIMO streams, with independent configurable channels of 10, 20, 40, and 80 MHz.
Thanks to channel bonding, the system achieves a throughput of up to 1.4 Gbps using two 80 MHz channels. The Dynamic Channel Selection function automatically optimizes the operating channel to improve reliability and performance even in complex radio environments, while e-alignment via GUI supports precise installation.
The connectorized version supports single- and dual-polarity antennas via two N-type connectors. Cambium Networks also integrates live spectrum analyzer, dual-stack IPv6/IPv4 management, cnMaestro support, 128-bit AES encryption and flexible interfaces with 1 Gigabit data port plus PoE input and 1 SFP port.
The rugged metal enclosure with IP66 and IP67 protection is designed for outdoor installations in harsh conditions, with an operating temperature of -40 °C to +60 °C, wind resistance up to 322 km/h and maximum power consumption of 30 W.
