The SkyHawk 3.5" 2TB SATA hard drive is a video surveillance storage solution designed for always-on systems and for NVR and DVR applications. Part of the Hikvision catalog, this model from the SkyHawk line made by Seagate offers a capacity of 2TB, a 3.5" format and a SATA 6 Gb/s interface, with support for up to 64 cameras and up to 8 bays.

The drive uses SMR recording technology, an Air design, and a 256MB cache, with a maximum sustained transfer speed of 180MB/s. The presence of tarnish-resistant components, a workload rate limit of 180 TB/year and ATA streaming support make it suitable for continuous recording in video surveillance.

Among the benefits indicated in the documentation also include ImagePerfect firmware for smooth video stream acquisition, MTBF of 1,000,000 hours, 600,000 load unload cycles, a 3-year limited warranty and 3-year Rescue Data Recovery Services.
