The Motorola Solutions MOTOTRBO DP4801 Ex digital portable radio combines the best of two-way radio functionality with the latest digital technology. It seamlessly integrates voice and data, offers optimized easy-to-use features and improved capacity delivery to efficiently connect all employees, and its bright blue color allows workers to easily locate and carry only ATEX-approved radios in high-risk environments. 

The DP4801 Ex is the ideal radio for working in high-risk areas, with high noise levels, during long shifts, in harsh weather and in hazardous conditions such as combustible dust, explosive chemicals, gas leaks, flammable hydrocarbons and more: loud, clear performance and innovative features such as Intelligent Audio and Transmit Interrupt help ensure messages get through. It complies with the military standard MIL-STD-810 for exceptional durability and is IP67 rated.

The DP4801 Ex features a large PTT button, volume, channel switching knobs and programmable buttons that are easy to use even when wearing bulky gloves, a full-size keypad and a large, full-color display for access to advanced features such as text messaging and caller ID, a bright LED provides radio status information at a glance. A raised orange emergency button allows workers to quickly call for help in times of need.

The DP4801 Ex can operate in all Motorola Solutions MOTOTRBO digital radio systems: IP Site Connect, Capacity Plus, Linked Capacity Plus, Motorola's application development program lets you adapt the DP4801 Ex to your specific future needs, from location tracking with the integrated GPS receiver, to text messaging or call control and recording. When you want to share information or need to locate your teams, you can access all the right applications from one device. Everything about the DP4801 Ex is designed with worker safety in mind. An integrated “man down” and “lone worker” function sends an instant alert in the event of an incident.
