66-88 MHz 4-cavity bandpass filter
Description
The 66-88 MHz 4-cavity bandpass filter is the BPBR 4/4 version with N(f) connector, designed by Amphenol-Procom to pass a frequency or frequency band and reject another adjacent frequency on the high side of the pass frequency. This type of filter is suitable for protecting the receiver against interference generated by nearby transmitters, especially when the distance between the useful signal and the interfering signal is so short that normal band-pass or notch filters are insufficient.
The product is tunable in the 66-88 MHz band, with an 88-108 MHz option, and supports a pass-reject spacing from 2 to 16 MHz. The insertion loss is indicated up to 2.0 dB at 2 MHz spacing and up to 0.6 dB at 16 MHz, with a rejection attenuation greater than or equal to 90 dB and a VSWR less than 1.5:1. The compact design uses high-Q helical resonators with discrete interconnects, in an extruded aluminum housing with a passivated steel frame and black vinyl coating to protect against corrosion.
