Description

The RUT986 LTE Cat 4 industrial router is designed to provide reliable mobile connectivity in industrial settings and smart infrastructures. Part of the Teltonika Networks range, this model combines a Telit Cat 4 modem with a proven hardware platform to ensure long-term availability, integration with field devices, and business continuity even in the most complex installations.

The device supports 4G LTE Cat 4 connectivity up to 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload, with 3G and 2G fallback, and integrates service continuity features via 2 SIM slots and eSIM with bootstrap for initial profile download. It features 4 Gigabit RJ45 ports, Wi-Fi 4, RS232 and RS485 serial interfaces, a GNSS receiver, and numerous inputs and outputs for integration into industrial applications.

Based on RutOS, a Linux operating system based on OpenWrt, the RUT986 LTE Cat 4 industrial router provides advanced networking, security, VPN, monitoring, and cloud services. It also supports industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA, BacNET, and DLMS/COSEM, making it suitable for scenarios requiring data collection and transmission, remote control, and centralized management via RMS.
