Description

The Teltonika Networks RUT981 4G cellular router is designed to offer advanced mobile connectivity in professional contexts such as industrial and automation, energy and utilities, enterprise, retail, and smart cities. It supports 4G LTE Cat 4 networks up to 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload, 3G up to 42 Mbps download and 5.76 Mbps upload, and 2G up to 236.8 Kbps.

The device integrates dual SIM and consumer-type eSIM functionality, with profile download and removal operations and support for up to 7 eSIM profiles. Auto-switch options allow automatic switching based on weak signal, data limit, SMS limit, roaming, no network, network denied, data connection error, and inactive SIM protection.

Teltonika Networks also includes comprehensive mobile network management tools, such as connection status monitoring, SMS management with EMAIL to SMS, SMS to EMAIL, SMS to HTTP, SMS to SMS, scheduled SMS, SMS autoreply, and SMPP functions, as well as USSD support. Also available are carrier block and allow lists, multiple PDNs, band lock, SIM PIN management, Auto APN, direct bridge between mobile ISP and device on the LAN and passthrough of the mobile WAN IP address to another device on the LAN.

On the networking and security front, the RUT981 4G cellular router offers static and dynamic routing, support for numerous network protocols, automatic failover, traffic balancing, port mirroring, firewall, VLAN and various VPN technologies, as well as MODBUS TCP support in Server and Client mode.
